This year, why not make a resolution that could save your life? In 2012, more than 2 million cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed in the United States. By learning how to check your skin for signs of skin cancer, you can catch skin cancer early. When found early and treated, even the deadliest skin cancer, melanoma, can be cured.

Recipients of shade structure grants announced in April
Thank you to the many people who took time to prepare and submit a grant application for a permanent shade structure. Interest in this program continues to grow. By the January 2nd deadline, the Academy received hundreds of applications. The recipients of the 2012 grants will be announced in April.
