Making a difference – tomorrow

When Academy member Yaohui Gloria Xu, MD, began to think about what she wanted out of her career, all she knew for sure was she wanted to make a contribution to dermatology. Dr. Xu was motivated to make a difference in the specialty, but needed help getting started. She was not alone. Dr. Xu found the assistance she needed through the Academic Dermatology Leadership Program, a year-long comprehensive program through which young academic dermatologists develop leadership skills and participate in valuable mentoring relationships.

“ADLP has definitely helped me to learn about myself, my personality, my strengths and weaknesses, my potentials, things I need to and I could work on, in a much deeper way,” said Dr. Xu. Read more about what Dr. Xu gained from the ADLP.
