Have a new product or therapy to introduce?

Consider holding a Non-CME Promotional Information Program (PIP) in conjunction with the Summer Academy Meeting 2012. PIPs were recently introduced at the AAD’s 2012 Annual Meeting and have become a regular offering at both meetings. Industry may hold a non-CME PIP event for $25,000. The PIPs are independent and solely under the control of the sponsoring company and are not part of the official AAD meetings. An application is necessary to hold a PIP. An application can be found here.

Be inspired

No matter where your special skills or interests lie, there is an AAD program where you can make a difference.

One such program is Dermatology in Action, which gives members the opportunity to start their Annual Meeting experience by remembering why it is important to give back. “Dermatology in Action helped kick off the AAD meetings for me for the past 2 years and has been one of my most memorable experiences of my residency and career so far,” enthused Karolyn Wanat, MD. “The opportunity to reach out as a specialty group and make a difference for others centers me and reminds me why I pursued medicine.”

Hats off to Coolibar, Inc. who helped put 350 hats on Camp Discovery campers this summer!

The Academy is pleased to announce that Coolibar, Inc. has donated 350 hats to this summer’s AAD Camp Discovery campers! Camp Discovery is one of the Academy’s philanthropic programs aimed at children, giving over 300 young patients with chronic skin conditions a life-changing summer camp experience. John Barrow, president and founder of Coolibar, stated, “Coolibar is honored to provide sun hats to the children at Camp Discovery so that every child can enjoy camp the way it was meant to be! We want to be sure everyone can get outside and safely play in the sun.”
